My husband and I wrote this song. It was inspired by something that one of my favorite singers said in an interview while her husband was dying of cancer. She said, "we live each day and we enjoy each moment because we don't know what tomorrow will bring. So we show our love for each other each and every day." It is so very true. Sick or not, we don't know what tomorrow will bring. It reminded me that I need to make more time for those that I love and those that are close to me. I thought of my husband Pete who lost his Dad to a stroke several years earlier.
We make excuses that we don't have time right now and we put if off and say maybe tomorrow, next week or maybe next year. But those words rang in my ears again. "We don't know what tomorrow will bring". Pete helped me finish the song. He wrote 2 verses about a father and son. I wrote a third verse that relates back to the first Christmas. I pray this song reminds you to make the most of today and each day you are given by spending time with and taking time for those you love.
