Seasons of our Faith

I am so excited to announce the release of my brand new album, Seasons of our Faith. It’s in the store now.
This album has been a long time coming. Since my conversion into the Catholic Faith in 2006, I’ve wanted to record a CD of Catholic Hymns. This past year we decided to move forward and record it. Through the process it has been very clear that this project was being guided by the Holy Spirit. Everything, including the funding, fell into place and in a short period of time.

Our original idea for a title was “Seasons.” We eventually settled on “Seasons of Our Faith” because we wanted to include various songs we sing at mass during the liturgical year (with the exception of Christmas since I already have a Christmas CD). The word “Seasons” also incorporates the idea that my husband, Pete, and I have moved several times over the past 10 years and have been a part of many wonderful parishes during that time. These parishes are represented in the artwork and photos in the CD. We want to thank the wonderful Catholic communities in Tennessee, Utah and Idaho for being a very important part of our lives and our journey over the past 10 years.

The CD begins with the song “Here I Am Lord”. The message of this song is the very reason this CD was recorded. After trying, unsuccessfully, to be in control and swapping drivers seats with God over the years, I came to a place of surrender…again. “Here I am Lord”….use me for your purpose…”I will go Lord if You lead me…” It is that prayer that made this CD a reality. He led the way, I followed. He opened the doors, I walked through them. I can’t explain the overwhelming peace that came over me when this happened. All I know is that I need to do it more often.

Other songs on the album include, “On Eagles Wings”, “Jesus Christ Is Risen Today”,” Be Thou My Vision”, and “I Am The Bread of Life”, which were all requested by friends who donated and supported this CD.

If I had to choose a favorite, it would be a toss-up between “Let All Mortal Flesh Keep Silence” and “Come to The Water”. The very thought of God becoming man is so hard to grasp. And the reason He did it…well, that is even harder to comprehend. He gave everything. All He asks of us is that we come to Him and surrender our Will to His Will. When we surrender, we find rest.

My prayer is that this CD brings moments of deep thought, peace, hope and joy to those who hear the powerful words in these beautiful songs.
