Happy Holidays

Let me start off by saying…I absolutely LOVE this time of year! And I’m loving it even more because we’re so much closer to home. After being away for over 5 years, we are now “Home For The Holiday’s”.

I hope all of you had a wonderful Thanksgiving.  We spent 5 days in Twin Falls with Family and I didn’t want to leave. But with Christmas just around the corner, it made it a little easier because I knew we’d be back in no time. For me, family time is the greatest gift I could ever receive.

I know this is a very busy time of year and I tried to keep this short and sweet, but there were just too many exciting things to catch you up on.

EWTN TAPING
The taping for the special Christmas program on Life On The Rock went well and they said it should air on December 27th. I will let you know if that date changes.
When I arrived at EWTN I was told I would be in the same guest house as Immaculee Ilibagiza. I can’t tell you how excited I was. She was exhausted after a full day of taping and had an early flight out, but we got to visit for about 20 minutes. Wish I’d had more time, but it was an amazing blessing to have met her. CHRISTMAS CONCERTS
I only have a couple of things coming up in my local area. No tours. Being close to home and having the opportunity to spend more time with family, I knew that I really needed a break this Christmas. Sorry for those of you expecting concerts but a girl’s gotta rest. Check out the dates on the Calendar. There are 2, and they are in the Boise area.

ANSWER TO PRAYER
In October I asked for prayers as I refocused and listened for God’s direction for this ministry. I’m excited to say, those prayers were answered and in a very short period of time. THANK YOU FOR YOUR PRAYERS!  I knew that no matter what decisions were made, and no matter where God was calling, that I needed to be “me”( true to myself). I sat back and said, well, “I am Pro-Life and I am Catholic”. When I opened myself up to those two things and said “that’s where I’m going to focus most of my time”, the doors FLEW OPEN. And in ways I wouldn’t have thought. In two short weeks the following happened.
- EWTN called and said they had an artist drop out at the last minute and asked if I’d fly to Birmingham and do the Christmas special for them.
- 1 Pro-Life and 1 Catholic Radio Station called me for interviews (2 days apart).
- After searching for several years for a booking agent, I had two commit to helping (within 1 week).
-After feeling led to do a Catholic Hymn CD and putting the word out, I had the entire budget for the Project donated (within 9 days).

Lord you are Faithful! Thank you.

RECORDING NEW CD
On January 6th I will head back to Nashville for 10 days. In that 10 days we will record the Catholic Hymns CD. I am so excited about this project and we’ve been going through the process of choosing songs. It’s so hard to narrow it down to 10. There are so many good ones. Need your prayers that God’s hand will guide us in these decisions. We hope to release it before Lent which comes early this year (Feb 13th).

BOOKING CONCERTS
I am currently booking concerts for 2013. I would love the opportunity to come share the new music from the Hymns CD with you. Since the CD is set for February, I’m booking Lenten Concerts starting Mid February. Please let me know if your Parish would be interested. I would love to be more involved in helping Pro-Life ministries (Pregnancy Care Centers, Right To Life ministries, etc.) as well. Please call me. I’d love to come sing for your event or fundraiser.

MERRY CHRISTMAS
I pray you have a wonderful Christmas. Remember the true reason for the season. And if you get a few minutes, re-watch Charlie Brown Christmas where Linus explains what Christmas is all about.  It makes me so happy. My husband watches it every year and I’m glad for that tradition in our house.
